Jane A. Engen

Jane was born on April 17, 1923 near Hawley, MN to John and Julia Nelson Skamfor. Jane attended country school near the family farm. She married Erling Engen on November 30, 1951 in Hawley, MN. They raised their three children on their farm near Hawley, MN. Jane enjoyed being a part of the ladies aide and the circles at Gran Lutheran Church, Hawley, MN. She helped volunteer with the church at the Rollag Steam Threshers Reunion. She enjoyed crocheting, canning and baking. Most of all she loved to work outside, especially with their animals. Jane is survived by two sons, Dale Engen and Bruce Engen, both of Hawley, MN; one daughter, Karen Roger Meyer, Hawley, MN; two grandsons, Andrew and Adam Meyer, Hawley, MN. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, and two infant siblings.
