Janet E. Nelson

Janet E. Nelson, 73, of Hawley, MN, died Monday, July 6, 2015, in Sanford Health, Fargo, ND.

Janet was born on February 23, 1942, in Hawley, MN, to Ralph and Emma Omberg Nelson. She grew up in Hawley and graduated from Hawley High School. Janet was a lifelong member of Hegland Lutheran Church of Hawley, where she was baptized and confirmed. Janet was a homemaker on the family farm, and enjoyed babysitting in her younger years. She loved to do embroidery and garden flowers. Janet also loved the cats and dog on the farm.

Janet is survived by her sister, Muriel Grefsrud; brothers, Vernon Nelson, Ralph Jr. Nelson and Robert Twylla Nelson, all of Hawley, MN; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Barbara Nelson and Delores Marvig.

Visitation: Wednesday, July 8, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. in Wright Funeral Home, Hawley, MN.
Funeral: Thursday, July 9th at 11:00 a.m. in Hegland Lutheran Church, Hawley, MN.
Interment: Hegland Lutheran Church Cemetery.
