Janet Harstad

Janet Harstad, outstanding mother, grandmother, wife and sister, died on Monday, February 27, 2012 in Elim Care Center, Fargo, ND. She was born on May 6, 1934 to Justin and Evelyn Sandbeck. Janet was the oldest of six children. She grew up and went to school in Fargo, ND. She was a homemaker who loved her family gatherings, gardening and sewed doll clothes for her younger relatives. She also loved the lakes and taught the children how to fish. Janet will be greatly missed by her sons, Jack Marcene Selberg and James Harstad; sister, Carole Janisch; brothers, David and Daniel Linda Sandbeck and many more relatives. Janet spent the last years of her life with her sister and best friend, Carole Janisch. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Donald and Erick Sandbeck; and husband, Joseph Harstad in 2003. Janet and Joseph will be interred together at Riverside Cemetery in Fargo, ND on March 2, 2012.
