Janice Elaine Ullrich

Janice Elaine (Gordhamer) Ullrich, 72, of Lake Park, MN, passed away on Friday, January 21, 2022, in Sanford Medical Center, Fargo, ND.

Janice was born on April 4, 1949, to Alfred and Alpha (Amoth) Gordhamer in Minneapolis, MN. The family moved to Mounds View, MN, where Janice attended and graduated from High School. She attended the University of Minnesota where she graduated with an associate degree in nursing. Shortly after her schooling, Janice met James Ullrich and they were united in marriage on August 1, 1970, in Farmington, MN. They lived in Farmington for a few years before moving to Lake Park where James farmed on the family farm. Janice worked as a rural mail carrier and drove school bus for the Lake Park School district. She later worked as a dental hygienist in both Detroit Lakes, MN, and Fargo, ND.

Janice enjoyed quilting, cooking, and baking. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family.

Janice is survived by her three children, Gary, Jon, and Ben Ullrich; grandchildren, Brooklyn, Gavin, Addison, Ian, Carson, and Reagan; and many other loving relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, James; parents, Alfred and Alpha; and brother, Gary Gordhamer.

Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M., followed by the memorial service at 6:00 P.M., Thursday, January 27, 2022, at Wright Funeral Home, Hawley, MN. A livestream of the service, along with a guestbook and video tribute, will be available on her webpage at www.wrightfuneral.com.
