Janice M. Conrade

Janice Mae Woodruff was born on May 23, 1952, in Miller, SD, to Norman Rhodell Woodruff, Jr., and Verbena Adella Bitterman Woodruff. She lived there until moving to Huron, SD, in 1962. She graduated school there along with Northwest College of Commerce. After a brief job in Clark, SD, she worked at the Huron Nursing Home for 14 1/2 years as a Nurses Assistant.On September 15, 1979, she married Patrick John Conrade in Huron, SD. They moved to Grand Forks, ND, in October of 1986 and then to Fargo, ND, in December of 1990. She worked for the Evergreens of Fargo and Moorhead from 1991 – 1994 and continued to work as a nurses aid at MeritCare Hospital for over 15 years and later with Moorhead Public Schools since 2002.Janice is survived by her husband, Patrick; son, Jacob A. Conrade of Aberdeen, SD; daughter, Tena A. Conrade, and her partner, Comfort Lee Martinez of Ogden, UT; grandchildren, Alec Lee Conrade and Sadie Rose Martinez of Ogden, UT. She is also survived by her brothers, Rodney Carol Woodruff of Belle Fourche, SD, Charles Lori Woodruff of Huron, SD, and their families. Her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Mr. & Mrs. Bud Conrade of Rapid City, SD; sister-in-law, Jody of Rapid City, SD; brothers-in-law, Chris of Loveland, CO, and Larry of Aberdeen, SD; uncles, Malvin Bitterman of Huron, SD, Victor Woodruff of Wolsey, SD; aunt, Ellen Woodruff of Lewistown, ID; nieces and nephews, Toni Jo Campbell of Seattle, WA, Daymon Woodruff of Colorado, Sarah Scott Senska of Alpena, SD, and Bryan Woodruff of Virginia Beach, VA.She was preceded in death by her father in 1960; her mother Verbena A. Kaufman in 2001; step-father, Harold J. Kaufman in 2003; and both sets of grandparents.
