Jason D. Halsne

Jason D. Halsne, 53, of Dilworth, MN passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, February 16, 2025, in his home. 

Jason was born on December 12, 1971, in Moorhead, MN. He graduated from Moorhead Senior High School in 1990.

A dedicated and hardworking man, Jason built a career as the control systems coordinator at the Fargo Water Treatment Plant, where he worked for over 20 years.

Jason found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing and spent countless hours in his workshop. He could fix or build anything imaginable. He truly was a jack of all trades. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, trips to the lake, and collecting antiques.

He is survived by his two children, Dustin (Desiree) Halsne, and Megan (Tim) Luoma; two granddaughters, Peyton and Dakota Halsne who brought him immense pride and joy. He also leaves behind his siblings: Juli (Jerry) Kirkpatrick, Jill (Steve) Lodin, Jeff (Angie) Halsne and many nieces and nephews.

Jason is reunited in peace with his parents, Richard and Sandra Halsne, who preceded him in death.

A memorial service to honor and celebrate Jason's life will be announced at a later date.
