Jean Fulton Frame Scheede Blakeway StienstraJean Fulton Frame was born May 27th, 1921, in Big Sandy, Montana to Maude Marion Pearson and Archibald Templeton Frame. She and her sister Dorothy grew up on the Frame Ranch north of Big Sandy.Jean graduated High School at Big Sandy in 1940. She attained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Nutrition from the University of Montana in 1945 and served an internship at the University of Maryland.She returned to Great Falls, Montana as a Dietician at Deaconess Hospital in Great Falls. Jean also served as a County Extension Agent.Jean married Clarence Franklin Scheede, Jr. in 1948. They returned to New York where Clarence worked for the American Locomotive Company and Jean taught at Draper High School and served as a 4-H club agent in Schenectady, New York.After returning to Great Falls, Jean and Clarence lived in the Charles M. Russell Home and Jean was the Museum Supervisor at the CMR Museum.The Scheede Family moved to Havre, Montana and Devil's Lake, North Dakota where Clarence worked for the Great Northern Railroad as a Locomotive Supervisor. In 1961 they moved to Fargo, North Dakota. The family had three children at the time; Barbara Jean, James and Scott. Clarence died in 1964 in a job related car accident. She married Cliff Stienstra in 1981 and he died in 2002.Jean then became an Instructor at St. Luke's School of Nursing in 1965, in Fargo, North Dakota until she retired in 1982. Jean received a Master of Science in Education at NDSU in 1972.Throughout her life Jean has created in many art forms and enjoyed crafts such as oil painting, silk screening, weaving, knitting, crocheting, quilting, pottery and wood carving.Jean spent much of her retirement traveling in her beloved motor home around the country as well as skiing in Colorado well into her eighties.Jean is survived her son, Jim Lynn Blakeway, Minnetrista, MN; daughter, Barb Carl Pearson, Ennis, MT; sister, Dorothy Brown, Great Falls, MT; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Scott.
