Jeanette M. Scheidecker

Jeanette (Walz) Scheidecker, 91 of Fargo, ND died peacefully January 8, 2024, at her residence at Good Samaritan with family by her side.

Jeanette Walz was born May 29, 1932, near Bluffton, MN to Anton and Mabel (Hochstein) Walz. On October 9, 1951, she was united in marriage to Robert Scheidecker. She was a dedicated mother to her 11 children. Jeanette was active in her church and community. Her greatest joy was in helping those in need. Jeanette also loved her garden and traveling. The highlight of her travels was a private audience with Pope John Paul II at the Vatican on February 7, 2002. 
Jeanette is survived by her 11 children: Roger (Terri) Scheidecker, Karol (Ken) Fredrickson, Joan (Howard) Hoven, Renee (L. Kim) Skalsky, Randall (Gina) Scheidecker, Shari (Andy) Pilecki, Ronald (Cynthia) Scheidecker, Lori (Greg) Wambach, James (Wendy) Scheidecker, Robert Jr. (Kim) Scheidecker, Janet (Darwin) Ehlers; 32 grandchildren, 58 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild; brother, LeRoy Walz; sisters, Diane Lord and Karen Bogott; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by husband Robert of 68 years, her parents, four grandsons, brothers, Lawrence, Jerry, Donald, and sister, Vera Wegscheid.

Mass of Christian Burial with Livestream will be held Thursday, January 11, 2024, at 2:00 PM with a visitation one hour before the service at Sts. Anne and Joachim Catholic Church, Fargo, ND.

Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Fargo, ND.
