Jeanine A. Moravec

Jeanine A. Moravec, age 80, of Fargo, ND, died Tuesday, March 22, 2011, at Bethany Homes, Fargo, ND.Jeanine Ann Moravec was born on December 30, 1930 to William and Olga "Evelyn" Tessum Moravec in Aberdeen, SD. She grew up and attended school in Aberdeen, graduating from Aberdeen High School in 1948. She then attended Northern State Teachers College in Aberdeen, graduating in 1952 with high honors. In 1953, Jeanine received a degree in Library Science from the University of Minnesota and completed her Masters of Arts degree in 1957 from State University of Iowa.Jeanine had many friends and was very involved in her church First Lutheran Church in Fargo and the communities of Fargo and Moorhead. She was on the faculty at Concordia College in Moorhead for many years until her retirement in 1995.Jeanine will be remembered as a woman of deep Christian faith with a compassionate heart. She loved Bible study teaching, crossword puzzles and her music. Her generosity to many causes was unparalleled."Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. John 14: 1-3Jeanine is survived by cousins and special friends, Cindy and Craig Hanson of Shoreview, MN and their daughter, Heather Brogren of Fargo, ND, along with siblings Anne Hanson Kelly of Champlin, MN, Mark Hanson of Chicago, IL and Matthew Hanson of New York, NY.She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Evelyn Moravec.In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Churches United for the Homeless, 1901 1st Avenue North, Moorhead, MN.
