Jeff Leroux

Jeff LeRoux, 45, Moorhead, MN, died unexpectedly as the result of an accident on Saturday, August 22, 2020.

Jeff was born February 15, 1975, to Dennis “Jay” and Marilyn (Fosse) LeRoux.  He grew up in Sabin, MN and attended school in Sabin and Moorhead, MN.  After high school he went to work for his dad at Jay’s Body Shop in Sabin.  Jeff loved working on cars and he continued to help out there after Jay sold the shop.  On December 1, 2004, Jeff began working as a custodian for Moorhead Public Schools.  On September 24, 2005, he was united in marriage to Julie Grant and they made their home in Moorhead.  On August 1, 2009, their beloved daughter, Kendal, was born and Jeff became the “best father she could ever ask for.” Jeff loved sharing his interests with Kendal and he taught her everything she knows about deer hunting, car parts and tools.  In his spare time he enjoyed tinkering around in the garage and sharpening his handyman skills.  He also loved attending concerts with family and friends and playing Star Wars and Minecraft with Kendal.  Jeff always made life interesting and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Jeff is survived by his loving wife, Julie, and their daughter, Kendal; his father, Dennis “Jay”  (Jan) LeRoux; his brothers, Corey LeRoux, Mike (Char) LeRoux, Aaron LeRoux, Chris (Shelly) LeRoux, Brad Fosse and Dan LeRoux; his best friend, but more like a brother, Kevin (Rhea) Beto, and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his father-in-law, Jerry Grant, mother-in-law, Ruth Grant, and brother-in-law, Jeremy Grant. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and mother, Marilyn LeRoux.

A memorial gathering for the public will be Saturday, August 29, 2020, from 12:00 to 1:00 P.M. at Wright Funeral Home in Moorhead.  A private memorial service will follow at 1:00 P.M.  Masks are required and social distancing must be observed. The service will be livestreamed on Jeff’s page at www.wrightfuneral.com beginning at 1:00 P.M.
