Jeffrey Barth

Jeffrey D. Barth, 62, of Glyndon, MN, passed away on Saturday, January 2, 2021 in his home under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley.

Jeffrey Darrel Barth was born on April 21, 1958 to Darrel and June (Logan) Barth. He grew up in Hawley, MN, and graduated from Hawley High School in 1976. He enlisted in the Army and served until 1979. He returned to Hawley and in 1983 married Carrie Behrens in Glyndon, MN. Together they had four children.

Jeff had various jobs, but had spent the last 17 years as a mail carrier with the Hawley Post Office. He enjoyed the outdoors and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Jeff is survived by his wife; children, Christina (John) Loreth, Marcie (Jeff) Sattler, Ryan, and Patrick Barth; grandchildren, Nathan and Kaitlyn Loreth and April, Hallie and Adam Sattler; sisters, Lana (Ardell) Whaley, Gail (Greg) Utke, Terrie (Ken) Pompa, Jennifer (Phil) Behrens and Jackie (Dave) Geske.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Linda Barth.

The family would like to thank Hospice of the Red River Valley for their wonderful care.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 7, 2021 from 5:00-7:00 PM at Wright Funeral Home, Hawley, MN.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 8, 2021 at 2:00 PM with a visitation one hour before the service at Hawley Lutheran Church, Hawley, MN. The service will be livestreamed for those who cannot attend and available here on Jeff’s page.

Burial will be in Hawley Cemetery at 3:00 PM on Saturday, January 9, 2020.
