Jerome was born June 7, 1932 at Ft. Belknap, Montana to Jerome and Virginia Marcet Allery. He attended grade school at Malta, Montana. He grew up in Whitewater, Montana, graduating from Flandeau Indian School. Jerome married Edna Agard in St. Paul, MN, in 1952. Jerome served in the U.S. Army in the early 1950's. He lived in Newport, Minnesota from 1960 to 1979 where he worked as a meat cutter, then moved to White Earth, Minnesota where he was a Chippewa Ranch manager for the reservation. He purchased a farm near Hawley in 1980. Since 1988 he has been a MAT bus driver. In 1973 he received his private pilots license and flew for the Civil Air Patrol in Fargo for several years. Since 1999 he has raised Tennessee Walking horses. He married Mary Wempner February 14, 2003. Jerome had a love for fishing, work, horses and his family. He was a lifelong member of the VFW in Moorhead. He is survived by his wife, Mary J. Allery, Hawley, MN; four sons, Jerome Michael Barbara Allery III, Keshena, WI, Rocky Allery, Fargo, ND, Steve Allery, Arizona, Monty Allery, Fargo, ND; eight step children; Mark Kristy Peterson, Fergus Falls, MN, Paul Peterson, Rushford, MN, Christina Ryan Kapperud, Moorhead, MN, Angela Fossum, Moorhead, MN, John Peterson, Ada, MN, Desiree Eric Tweten, West Bend, WI, Jessica Kennedy, Madison, WI, Garrett Kennedy, Hawley, MN; one brother, Paul Allery, Los Angeles, CA; one sister, Darlene; twelve grandchildren, twelve step-grandchildren, and seven step great-grandchildren.
