Jerry L. ’Jj’ Jegtvig

Jerry was born November 17, 1939, in Fargo, ND, son of Harry and Alice Johnson Jegtvig. He grew up and attended school in Fargo and in 1955, joined the U.S. Navy. After 10 years of service her returned to Fargo and began his 50 plus years as an independent trucker. Jerry and Karen were married October 7, 1971, in Sisseton, SD, and resided in Moorhead, MN, until his death.He enjoyed watching the Vikings in the fall and the Twins in the spring, but his favorite past time was spent relaxing on the back deck reflecting on days gone by.Jerry is survived by his wife, Karen; his children, Jeff and Randy Dalen, Todd and Jess Woods, Chad and Julie Hagel Jegtvig. Also surviving are 14 grandchildren, Paige, Taylor, Grace, Adam, Jess, Jr., Tyler, Alexis, Hannah, Owen, Hayden, Justin, Paul, Jennifer and Stephanie.He was preceded in death by his father, Harry; his mother, Alice; and his brother, Russell.
