Jerry Sabo, 66, Las Vegas, NV, formerly Glyndon, MN, died on Friday, August 25, 2006, in his home in Las Vegas.Jerry Sabo was born on March 6, 1940, in Thief River Falls, MN, to Harold and Doris Hove Sabo. He grew up and attended school there, graduating from the Newfolden high school. He served in the U.S. Air Force and then returned home and farmed with his dad. Jerry married Cherie Ydstie on June 16, 1963, in Plummer, MN, and they lived briefly in Phoenix, AZ, before owning operating a summer resort "Jerry's Resort" on Lake Melissa near Detroit Lakes, MN, for three summers. They moved to Dilworth, MN, where he operated a business restoring and selling automobiles. He had owned and operated the Hi-Ten Motel in West Fargo, ND, for several years. Jerry had lived in Las Vegas, NV, for the past 16 years and was a real estate investor in Fargo and Grand Forks, ND, and Las Vegas, NV, during that time.Jerry is survived by his father, Harold Sabo, Warroad, MN; two brothers, Pete Sabo, Fargo, ND, and Jon Sabo, Detroit Lakes, MN; four sisters, Joyce Leon Elseth, San Antonio, TX, Jane Chuck Woods, Albuquerque, NM, Joanne Gene Beasley, Phoenix, AZ, and Janice Emery, Albuquerque, NM. He was preceded in death by his mother and his son, Daniel.
