Jesse R. Mattson

He was taken from us suddenly because of a brain aneurism. Jesse was born August 9, 1979, in Detroit Lakes, MN, to Robert and Julie Mattson. He grew up near Lake Park, MN, attending school and graduating from Lake Park/ Audubon in 1997. Following high school Jesse attended the University of Minnesota Duluth and graduated with a degree in Computer Science. He then returned to the family farm near Lake Park and helped for about five years before moving to the Twin Cities. He had most recently been working at Helgeson Enterprises in White Bear Lake, MN, as a computer programmer.Jesse enjoyed spending time outdoors, snowmobiling, riding the four-wheeler, hiking in the mountains, and playing with his dog, Sango, but most of all spending time with family and his fiancée, Kayla. He will be dearly missed. We remember Jesse's gentle nature, his kindness, goodness, love for others, and love of life. He overflowed with the fruits of the Spirit and the love of the Lord. Jesse is survived by fiancée, Kayla Hooten; parents, Robert and Julie; brothers, Jeremy Nicole, Joshua Emily, John and Justin; sister, Jamie Scot Hagen; nieces and nephews, Audrey and Evan Hagen and Owen and Eli Mattson; grandmother, Doris Mattson; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Vernon Mattson, and Bruno and Venetta Hoebelheinrich.
