Joan Marie Mcintyre

Joan Marie McIntyre, 51, of West Fargo, ND, passed away on July 7, 2022.

Joan was born February 24, 1971 in Minot, ND, to John “Jack” and Magdalena “Dena” (Rohrich) McIntyre. The family moved to Moorhead and Joan attended St. Joseph’s Catholic grade school and graduated from Shanley High School in Fargo in 1989.  She went on to attend the University of Mary in Bismarck for 2 years and then found her passion for beauty while attending cosmetology school at the Aveda Academy in Minneapolis.  Joan loved working as a makeup artist for Twila’s Cosmetique at West Acres Mall in Fargo for many years.  She later worked for Jenny Craig in Minneapolis.  Throughout her life, Joan found meaning and joy in helping others, especially in her volunteer work over the internet with PTSD victims.

Joan’s life was richly blessed with her two children, Colin MacDonald and Jade McIntyre-Boe. She loved spending time with her family, making beautiful flower arrangements, doing yoga and pilates, and teaching water aerobics at the YMCA for the Arthritis Association.

Joan is survived by her daughter, Jade McIntyre-Boe; parents, Jack and Dena McIntyre, brothers, Patrick (Kathy) McIntyre and Bruce (Kristin) McIntyre; grandson, Kurtis; niece, Arielle; nephews Matthew and Jeremy, many cousins, and her fiancé, Antonio (unable to be here.) She was preceded in death by an infant sister; grandparents, Regina and Anton Rohrich, many aunts and uncles, and her beloved son, Colin MacDonald.
