Joanne M. Anderson, 79, Golden Valley, MN, died on Tuesday, February 21, 2012, in Essentia Health, Brainerd, MN.Joanne Marie Idso was born on March 22, 1932, in Fargo, ND, to Russell and Josephine Kingman Idso. She was baptized in the Absaraka Methodist Church, Absaraka, ND. She grew up and attended school in Casselton, ND, graduating from Casselton High School. She graduated from St. Luke's School of Nursing as an RN on September 15, 1952. She married Arthur Askegaard and he died tragically in an auto accident on September 14, 1957. She worked at St. Ansgar's Hospital in Moorhead, MN. Joanne married Myron Anderson on April 7, 1961. They lived in Golden Valley, MN for fifty years. She worked as a Registered Nurse at Glenwood Hills Hospital in the OB department in Golden Valley. They moved to Brainerd, MN in 2010. She and Myron had celebrated 50 years of marriage. Joanne loved her family and granddaughters, liked having people drop in for coffee, and enjoyed camping and travelling.Joanne is survived by her husband, Myron Anderson, Brainerd, MN; son Art Nancy Anderson, Brainerd, MN; two brothers, Art Idso, Absaraka, ND, and Richard Doris Idso, Amenia, ND; a sister, Louise Dave Walden, Shakopee, MN; three grandchildren, Kristina, Nicolette and Carrie. She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Arthur Askegaard, and her brother, John Idso.
