John M. Legler

John was born February 14, 1984 in Fargo, North Dakota. He grew up in Hawley, MN, where he attended school, then moved to Aurora, Colorado where he lived and went to school for a few years. He moved from Aurora to Barnesville, MN, where he lived for a short time before moving back to Hawley.J.J. was full of life and much energy and was always on the go. He worked for several drywall companies for the last few years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and snowmobiling, but most of all he loved joking around and making people laugh. He is survived by his parents, Dawn & Gene Shaw, Hawley, MN, father and stepmom, John & Chris Legler, Aurora, CO; grandfather, Lawrence Legler, Hawley, MN; four sisters, Angie Ty Weatherly Busby, Barnesville, MN, Michelle Legler, Aurora, CO, Kelly Bishop, Des Moines, IA, and Tracy Sproul, Norton, KS; two brothers, Mike Lana Aho Busby, Fargo, ND, and Davey Wendy Shaw, Underwood, MN; four nieces, Samantha "Sami" Busby, Barnesville, MN, Heather, Samantha & Brianna Shaw, Underwood, MN; two nephews, T.J. Shaw, Underwood, MN, and Joshua Busby, Hawley, MN; many aunts, uncles, cousins & friends, and all who thought of him as a little brother. Our hearts are broken more than words can say, but we'll see J.J. again some day. He'll meet us each with his smile this day, take our hands and lead us on our way.
