John Ray Hanson

John Ray Hanson of Fargo, ND, passed away on Thursday, April 16, 2015, in Rochester Methodist Hospital – Mayo Clinic. John was born June 16, 1954, in Moorhead, MN, to Clarence and Lorraine Lafferty Hanson. He grew up and graduated from high school in Moorhead before starting his career with Burlington Northern Railroad. John married Kim Kiefert on December 31, 1988 and together they made their home in Fargo. One of John’s passions was working on his motorcycles. He took pride in them and loved to get out on the road whenever he could. He also enjoyed going to Sturgis, deer hunting, and spending time with family and friends. He will be greatly missed.

John is survived by his wife, Kim; daughters, Trish Vinny Floyd, Tiffany Scott English; grandsons, Xavier Floyd and Alex Hanson; father, Clarence Hanson; sister, Dianna Larry Pinske; brothers, James Hanson, Brad Carie Hanson; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Lorraine; and brother, Robert Hanson.

Visitation: Tuesday, April 21, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., in Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead, MN.

Funeral: Wednesday, April 20, at 11:00 a.m., in Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead, MN.

Interment: Riverside Cemetery, Moorhead, MN.
