John “Jack” Travers

John “Jack” Travers was born in Kansas City, Kansas on January 17, 1935 and died in Fargo, North Dakota on March 15, 2020.  Jack attended high school in Great Bend, Kansas and was preceded in death by his parents, John and Abbie Travers of Great Bend.  Jack earned two engineering degrees from the University of Kansas.  While at KU, he married Peggy McMullen of Great Bend and they have two children, Debbie (husband Steve, deceased) and Steve (wife, Laura) and four grandchildren Sam, Jesemy, Fiona and John.  Jack served 3 years in the US Air Force and retired in 1990 from Phillips Petroleum Company in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.

A memorial service will be held at a later date in Summit County, Colorado.
