Jon W. Grinde

Jon W. Grinde, 80, Moorhead, MN, died on Thursday, October 6, 2016 in his home in Moorhead.
Jon Willie Grinde was born on February 20, 1936 in Moorhead, MN, to Edwin and Grace Willie Grinde. He attended country school near Kragnes, MN, and graduated from high school at Moorhead in 1954. He served in the National Guard.
Jon married Jeanette Buhaug on August 11, 1956 in Moorhead and they made their home on the Grinde farm near Kragnes, MN. He farmed there, and in the early 1960’s he started a manufacturing business, initially producing tractor cabs and moving on to other agricultural equipment.
Jon was an avid pilot, and enjoyed spending time at the lake. He also liked skiing in Colorado and was a fan of the Minnesota Vikings.
Jon is survived by four children, Debbie Dan Langseth, Glyndon, MN, Paul Patty Grinde, Bozeman, MT, John Grinde, Moorhead, MN, and Jeni Brian Seyller, Bloomington, MN; ten grandchildren Josh Nialle Langseth, Jessica Dan Langseth-Kemper, Jamie Langseth, Sarah Fiance’ Eric DeClercq Klemisch, Megan Brady Anderson, Rachel Cory Baumgart, Hallie Ryan Tiffany, Greyson Grinde, Grant Seyller, and Liliana Seyller; three great-grandchildren, Dekker DeClercq, Ruby Anderson and Brody Baumgart.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter Gail; and Jeanette.
The funeral will be Tuesday, October 11, 2016, at 11:00 A.M. in North Buffalo Lutheran Church, Kragnes, MN. Visitation will be one hour before the funeral in the church.
Interment will be in North Buffalo Lutheran Cemetery, Kragnes, MN.
