Jonathan “Jon” Victor Dalbol, 56, of Moorhead, MN, passed away on Wednesday, April 15, 2020, in Sanford Health Hospital, Fargo, ND. Jon was born on June 10, 1963, to Robert and Betty Jean (Larson) Dalbol, in Moorhead, MN.
Jon grew up in Moorhead, MN, where he graduated from Moorhead High School. He worked for Northern Pipe Products shortly before working for the sheet metal union as a sheet metal tinner. There, he provided his services for various companies in the area for over 20 years.
Jon enjoyed many of life’s intricacies. He loved to garden, specifically tomatoes, which he would can or make salsa. He restored old stuff, such as cars, tables, furniture, and woodwork. He even converted his old garage into a stunning mancave which was used on many occasions. He like to paint canvases and make jewelry out of nature, such as polished rocks. He also enjoyed a jigsaw puzzle every now and again. But the love of his life was fishing and would never pass on a fishing trip. He dreamed of finding buried treasure in the yard.
Jon is survived by his significant other, Rachel Wiger; children, Benjamin (Kate) Dalbol, Nick and Lukas Dalbol, Michael and Alice Wiger; grandchildren, Brennan and Julia Dalbol; parents, Bob (Ava) Dalbol and Betty Jean Dalbol; brothers, Curt and Richard (Candina) Dalbol; half-sister, Amanda (Dustin) Hayenga; and many other loving relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by Michelle Dalbol; and grandparents, Ladora and Sigurd Dalbol and Victor and Erna Larson.
A memorial service will be held on a later date.
