Jordan Olsgaard

Jordan D. Olsgaard, 33, of Moorhead, MN, died Friday, August 16, 2019, at Essentia Health in Fargo.

Jordan Daniel Olsgaard was born June 23, 1986, in Fargo, ND, to Daniel and Jayne (Brekke) Olsgaard.  He grew up in Moorhead and attended Park Christian School.  Between his sophomore and junior years, he worked at Inspiration Point Bible Camp. He graduated from Park Christian in 2005.  A year prior to graduation, Jordan joined the Army National Guard where he served for 6 years.  He went on to graduate from Association Free Lutheran Bible College in 2007 and then graduated from Rasmussen College in 2009 with a business degree. For the last 11 years, Jordan was employed fulltime in farming alongside his dad and brother.

Jordan was united in marriage to Heather Jamerson on May 8, 2009, at Triumph Lutheran Brethren Church. Jordan often referred to his wife as “the sweetest and most beautiful woman in the world”. They made their home in Moorhead and were blessed with two beautiful daughters, Wynter Laine and Autumn Renee.

Jordan was a loving husband and father.  He was faithful and consistent in his relationship with God and always extended kindness and love to those who crossed his path.  He valued and cared deeply for others by his listening ear, servant’s heart, and warm smile.  He always worked hard at whatever he did.

Jordan enjoyed farming and spending time on the combine with his two young daughters.  Jordan and Heather loved traveling and frequently took mini family vacations together. He also enjoyed hunting, skiing and hiking.

Jordan is survived by his wife, Heather, and daughters, Wynter and Autumn; his parents, Daniel and Jayne Olsgaard, Moorhead; sister, Eden (Bryce) Meyer, Bismarck, ND; brothers, Jacob and Jared Olsgaard, both of Moorhead; grandparents, Norma Olsgaard and Melford and Joan Brekke, and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.  He was preceded in death by his brother, Abraham Jordan Olsgaard, cousin Wade Brekke, grandfather Theodore Olsgaard and uncle Peter Olsgaard.

In keeping with Jordan’s loving and generous spirit, his final act of kindness was to give the gift of life through organ and tissue donation.

Memorials and donations of love and support may be mailed or deposited to the Heather Olsgaard Benefit Fund at any Bell State Bank.

Visitation will be held Friday, August 23, 2019, from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M., with a prayer service beginning at 7:00 P.M., at Triumph Lutheran Brethren Church in Moorhead.  Visitation will continue Saturday, August 24, 2019, from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M., with a memorial service beginning at 11:00 A.M. at the church. Burial will take place at Hoff Cemetery, Rustad, MN.
