Jorgee J. Mjolsness

Jorgee Jean (Klokseth) Mjolsness died Monday, July 24, 2023, at Eventide on 8th, Moorhead, MN. She was born July 23, 1936, to George and Edythe (Boehmer) Klokseth in Moorhead, MN.

Jorgee graduated from Moorhead High School in 1954. She married Alton Mjolsness in September of 1954. They later divorced. Jorgee retired in 2001 after working for Terry Welle Construction for 12 years. She enjoyed her family for the great fulfillment they gave her in her life. She took pleasure in her church and in knowing a great many friends. 

Jorgee leaves five children; Becky Nelson of Fargo, ND, Jerry (Jean) Mjolsness of Moorhead, MN, JoLyn (Ray) Johnson of Glyndon, MN, Douglas (Karleen) Mjolsness of Lake Park, MN, and Karen (Mike) Steiner of Fort Myers, FL; 18 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Jeni Meuwissen; sister, Jackie Klokseth; and nieces, Jody and Brenda Oberg.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 29, 2023, at 11:00 AM with a visitation one hour before the service at Concordia Lutheran Church, rural Glyndon, MN.

Burial will be in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Concordia Lutheran Church Cemetery Fund or Hospice of the Red River Valley.
