José C. Flores

José C. Flores, age 55, of Moorhead, MN, formerly of Dallas, TX, passed away on December 31, 2019 at his residence.

José Cruz Flores was born on October 25, 1964 to José and Delicia (Trevino) Flores in Dallas, TX. José began working various jobs at a young age in Texas before moving to Willmar, MN in 1992 to be closer to his family. He began working in a group home before transferring to the Willmar Regional Treatment Center where he worked for many years. José had two children, Elijah and Alexis. José moved to Moorhead in 2012 when his health started to decline.

José had a wonderful sense of humor and was very strong headed, always doing things his way. He was a lifelong Dallas Cowboys fanatic. José loved attending concerts and listening to music. In his spare time, he would play pool, go to the casino, and read books about Mexican history and culture.

José is survived by his children, Elijah Flores and Alexis Wenberg; father, José Flores; brothers, Fred Flores and Gilbert (Virginia) Flores; friend, Lori Flores; and many nieces and nephews.

José was preceded in death by his mother, Delicia Trevino; and sister, Yvette Flores.

A private family service will be held.
