Joseph J. Riggle Iii

Joseph J. Riggle III, 50, of Moorhead, MN, passed away on Saturday, February 19, 2022, at Sanford Medical Center, Fargo, ND.

Joseph James Riggle III was born in Detroit Lakes, MN, on June 14, 1971, to Joseph Jr. and Edith (Butcher) Riggle. He grew up and attended school in Minneapolis and went on to attend the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities.

Joseph was a Jack-of-all-trades. He spent his working career doing many different things including, installing flooring, painting, and later in life welding.

Joseph loved to sing and was a fan of all types of music, from rap to country. He also enjoyed watching the old black and white films on Turner Classic Movies channel. He loved being around children and was wonderful grandfather to many.

Joseph is survived by his father Joseph Jr. (Merilyn); companion, Geraldine “G” Jackson; five daughters; three sons; and brother, Jonathan Riggle.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Edith “Dutchie”; son-in-law, Herbert Weyaus Jr.; son, Trent Mitchell; brother, Eugene Butcher; and sister, Suzie Butcher.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, February 28, 2022, at 3:00 PM with a visitation one hour before the service at Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead, MN.
