Joseph L. Carson

Joseph Lee Carson, 40 of Ada, MN died February 6, 2014 at his residence.
He was born October 18, 1973 in Grand Forks, ND to Gerald and Ruth Thayer Carson. He attended and graduated from Clifford-Galesburg High School in 1993. Joe worked on many area farms in Galesburg and Grandin, ND. He enjoyed doing carpentry work and one of his greatest accomplishments was using his carpentry skills on the Horizon Middle School in Moorhead. On June 12, 2010 he married Kayte Ward at her family’s residence. Joe enjoyed the outdoors which included trapping and hunting. He also enjoyed driving trucks for farmers. Joe enjoyed swimming with his kids. Joe loved his children and the joy they brought him; he was also a loving husband and brother. He was a member of Scandia Lutheran Church in Averill, MN.
He is survived by his wife, Kayte of Ada; children, Jaxson and Kaytlyn Carson of Ada, and Jospeh Jr. Carson of Grand Forks, ND, and an older daughter from North Dakota; brothers, Steward Carson of Galesburg, ND and Wayne Carson of Hillsboro, ND; sisters, Geraldine Mike Saulnier of San Diego, CA, Georgian George Paschke of Denver, CO, Grace StanleyWhigham of Tennessee, Gail Clifford Carson – Carroll of Forest Lake, MN; In-laws, Russell Jean Ward of Glyndon, MN; sister-in-law Elizabeth Joshua Davis; brother-in-law, Daniel Kimberly Ward of Borup, MN; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral Service will be 11 AM, Monday, February 10, 2014 at Scandia Lutheran Church in Averill, MN.
Visitation will be for one hour before the service at the church.
Interment will be at Scandia Cemetery.
