Joseph Richard “Joe” Risch

Joseph ‘Joe’ Richard Risch, 72, of Glyndon, MN, passed away on Sunday, May 19, 2019, in Sanford on Broadway, Fargo, ND.

Joe was born on April 5, 1947, to Richard and Francis (Luksik) Risch, in Pipestone, MN. Joe graduated from Pipestone High School and attended Moorhead State University. He began working for UPS for ten years before opening Risch’s Produce, working as a produce farmer. Joe was united in marriage to Darlene Loge on September 7, 1974, in Moorhead. Joe opened Dar’s Bloomers, growing and selling flowers until his retirement.

Joe enjoyed hunting, fishing, and pheasant guiding. He was a very sociable person who enjoyed the company of his many friends.

Joe is survived by his wife, Dar; children, Michael and Matthew Risch; his family pet and hunting partner, Roxy; and many other loving relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Francis.

A celebration of life will be held on Friday, May 24, 2019, from 1:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M., with time for sharing in between, at Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead, MN.
