Joseph Thomas Bolger, 45, of Lexington, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, February 9th, 2012, at Sanford Health in Fargo, after a short but valiant fight with cancer. Joe was born on August 24th, 1966, to Lowell and Priscilla Bolger. He grew up in Moorhead, graduating from Moorhead High School in 1985. He attended Minnesota State University in Moorhead where he graduated in 1989 with a business degree. His career began with Super America Inc. in Minneapolis. He then took a job with Frito-Lay in Memphis, TN. Then he took a job with Pepsi Americas where he began his Pepsi career. In 2010, Joe was awarded the Pepsi Ring of Honor for his great work with the company. In his recent move back to Lexington, Kentucky, he took a job with G&J Pepsi-Cola Bottlers Inc., where he was a Trade Development Manager. He was set to begin his most recent promotion on February 10th, as a Director of Retail Sales. He was certain he had found his dream job; from his colleagues, his team, and the entire company he felt he'd met his professional goals. Joe spent childhood summers at the family lake home on Bad Medicine Lake. Many family memories were made as summers centered around lake activities with his brother, sister, cousins, and friends. From an early age he loved fishing. He also started golfing as a young boy and rarely did he not have a golf club in his hand. He was an avid coin and sports card collector. Joe enjoyed following various sports teams; whether it was to jab at his father about 'his' teams doing well, betting for lunch with his friends, or traveling to numerous college and professional venues to attend games. Sporting events brought Joe great joy. Joe married Tracy Foss, on July 8, 1995, in St. Cloud, MN. After several moves they made their home in Memphis, Tennessee. They took many wonderful trips together whether it was visiting family or going to the beach. They laughed, had fun and made great friends along the way.Joe was preceded in death by both sets of grandparents; Joseph and Anne Bolger and Allan and Melva Poitras. He is survived by his parents, Lowell and Priscilla Bolger of Moorhead, his wife, Tracy Bolger of Memphis, TN, his brother, Jeff Kathy of Apple Valley, MN, sister, Kim Don of Moorhead, along with six nephews, two nieces and a full extended family that loved him dearly.
