Joyce A. Johnson

Joyce A. Johnson, 78, of Moorhead, MN, formerly of Warren and Grand Rapids, MN, died on Saturday, December 21, 2019, at Sanford Medical Center, Fargo, ND. Joyce was born August 10, 1941, to Paul and Nyrene (Ihrke) Libby. She grew up in Grand Rapids, MN, where she graduated from high school. Following high school, she continued her education at St. Scholastica where she received her degree in Medical Records Administration. On June 8, 1963, Joyce married Irvin Johnson. Together they made their home in Oregon for a few years before returning to Grand Rapids. In 1988, they moved to Warren, MN, where they resided until recently moving to Moorhead. Over the years, Joyce enjoyed working in the hospitals and nursing homes. In her free time, she got to use her creative side to design crafts for family and friends. Most of all however, she loved spending her time with family. She will be dearly missed.

Joyce is survived by her husband, Irvin; children, Erik Johnson (daughter-in-law, Shelly Johnson), Greg (Teri) Johnson, Julie (Marlyn) Halvorson, and Scott (girlfriend, Gwenda) Johnson; grandchildren, Brandon (Hannah) and Lindsey (fiancé, Scott Wood) Johnson, Eric Wolf (Stacy Wolf), Kaleb and Chani Johnson, Tanner and Kalvin Halvorson, Ryann and Tegan Johnson; and sister, Carla (Anthony) Gentry; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two great-grandsons.

Visitation will be Friday, December 27, from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m., followed by the memorial service at 2:00 p.m., in Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead, MN.
