Joyce Henry

Joyce was born December 15, 1929, to Oscar and Alma Dahlstrom Olson, in Horace, ND, where she grew up and attended school. She then started working and in 1950, married Ned Henry in Downer, MN. Together they moved to Seattle, WA, for a couple years where Ned worked for Boeing. In 1953, they moved to Moorhead and started a family. Ned started Henry Brother's Excavating and Joyce stayed home to raise their children. She loved the time she was able to spend with her family and raising her children. In 1982, Ned retired and they moved to Bluewater Bay, south of Audubon, MN. She enjoyed spending time at the lake, bowling, and making lefse, but most of all her family.Joyce's family would like to offer a special thank you to Wayne and Sandy Jacobson, neighbor and friend. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Hospice of the Red River Valley.Joyce is survived by her daughter, Cindy Peter Johnson, Moorhead, MN; sons, Mike Marlene Henry, Russ Carol Henry, and Mark Kathy Henry, all of Moorhead; thirteen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren; son-in-law, David Ness; brothers, Duane, Lyle, Howard and Ole; and sisters, Donna, Olive, Darlene and Glennda.She was preceded in death by her husband, Ned; daughter, Debbie Ness, grandson Jason Henry; parents; brothers, Lester, Glenn, Gordon, Morris and Raymond.
