Joyce L. Benson

Joyce Lorraine Benson, 87, of Fargo, ND died on Tuesday, March 6, 2012, under palliative care, at Sanford Health. Joyce was born on October 26, 1924, in Harwood, ND to Marie and Olenus Johnson. She grew up in Harwood and graduated from Moorhead State College High School. Joyce married Elvin Benson, Jr. on March 12, 1943 and after Elvin's service duty, they made their home in Fargo and Barnesville. Joyce worked in sales and was a longtime employee of Mrs. Blow's Sewing Center. She was a faithful member of Messiah Lutheran Church. Joyce is survived by her husband, Elvin; daughters, Lana Keith Adrian, Binford, ND and Marcia Wendal Meyer, Fargo, ND; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and two step great-grandchildren.She is preceded in death by her parents, one brother and five sisters.
