Judith A. Hopping

Fabulous mother, grandmother, and friend, Judith (Judy) Ann Hopping, 79, of Fargo, ND, died peacefully on September 29th, 2021 at home under the care of her children and Sanford Hospice.

Judy was born on October 10th, 1941, in Milwaukee, WI, to Lawrence and Stella (Musial) Streit. She grew up and attended Catholic school in Milwaukee, WI. She graduated from Alverno College with a BSN in 1963; she was very proud of her lifelong career in Nursing.

Judy was married to Earle A Hopping in 1964. They moved around the country before settling in Fargo, ND.

Judy enjoyed gardening, sewing, reading, crossword puzzles, playing cards, shopping and travelling. She was a patron of the arts, supporting the ballet and opera. Her true passion was her children and grandchildren.

She will be greatly missed by children, Michael (Cristi) Hopping of Colfax, ND, Lucy Terlinden (Jon Mackenthun) of Glencoe, MN, Kathleen Hopping (Robert Herman) of Phoenix, AZ, Maureen Lilleby of Lake Park, MN, and 13 grandchildren, Emily (27), Benjamin (25), (Gabriella (25), Alexandra (25), Tayler (20), Ian (20), Rianna (20), Gwendolyn (19), Zachary (18), Lauren (18), Dylen (15), Michael (15), Tristan (14), and Hayden (13).

Private family service will be held October 6, 2021. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be designated to Sanford Hospice or World Wildlife Fund.
