Judith B. ’Judy’ Evernham

Judy was born on August 13, 1938 to Emil and Esther Olson, Moorhead. Judy attended grade school at Clear View in rural Moorhead and high school at Moorhead State Teachers Campus School.Judy married Allan Evernham on January 4, 1956. Judy lived in Moorhead until recently when she and Allan relocated to the twin cities to be closer to family. Judy and Allan ran "Old Trail Gardens", a vegetable farm north of Moorhead for many years until retiring the farm and going to work in town. Judy worked as an office manager until she retired in 1998, working many of those years for Aerial Contractors, Inc. in Fargo, ND.Judy was always active in her faith and her church, whether it was working in the office helping out or helping the Altar Guild on their next project. She gave countless hours to volunteering and enjoyed the friendships the church gave her. She was also quite a craftsman with her love of the Norwegian embroidery "Hardanger", passed down through the generations of her Norwegian heritage. Additionally she spent whatever spare time she could with her children and grandchildren who she adored. She always said happiness was being a Grandma.She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Allan; her children, Joellen Shendy, Greenbelt, MD, and Alanna Scott Bilben, Blaine, MN; her grandchildren, Tahia 15, Tariq 12, Riley 10, and Jack 6; her brother, Dewey Diane Olson, Moorhead, MN and sister-in-law, Donna Olson, Moorhead, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Robert Olson "Bob", and sister, Ardys Dan Zimmerman.In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Evergreen Cemetery, Moorhead, MN, or Hospice.
