Judith L. Peterson

Judith L. Peterson, 57, Moorhead, MN, died Thursday, November 1, 2007, at her home in Moorhead.Judy was born on May 19, 1950 to Wilbert Krabbenhoft and Betty Krabbenhoft Grinaker. She grew up near Glyndon, MN, where she attended school. She later attended Moorhead State University and then transferred to St. Cloud State University where she received her degree in business marketing. She married Greg Peterson on September 27, 1974. Judy and Greg have three children Brianne, Michael and Marissa. Early in her career, Judy was employed as an assistant store manager at Dayton's and store manager at Kohl's in Fargo. Later in life, she turned her passion for philanthropy into a profession by working as a fundraiser for the Red Cross in Moorhead and as the director of corporate and major gifts at Minnesota State University Moorhead. Judy was also a past President of Bethesda Women in Moorhead and was currently the president of Fargo Kiwanis. Judy had a contagious love of life and enjoyed her job to the fullest. She cherished the knowledge that she was raising money to help students attain a college degree.Judy is survived by her husband Greg, a daughter Brianne Jeff Heidbreder, Milwaukee, WI, a son Michael, Minneapolis, MN, and a daughter Marissa at home in Moorhead. She is also survived by her father Wilbert Krabbenhoft, Osage, MN, mother Betty Grinaker, Glyndon, MN, a sister Linda Romaine, Audubon, MN, a sister Carol Paul Mendy, Fort Smith, AR, and a brother Kent Julie Krabbenhoft, Moorhead, MN, and many nephews and nieces. She is also survived by four sisters-in-law, Ruth Halgrimson, Fargo, ND, Marje Krabbenhoft, Cormorant, MN, Lois Peterson, Moorhead, MN, and Kathryn Bandaret, Denver, CO.Judy was preceded in death by a step-father, Lyle Grinaker, Glyndon, MN. Judy will be missed by her family and countless friends and associates.
