Judy A. Quittschreiber

Judy Ann Quittschreiber, 75, of Dilworth, MN, passed away on Saturday, January 18, 2020, in her home surrounded by her family. Judy died after a courageous battle with COPD. She was under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley.

Judy was born August 17, 1944, in Perham, MN, to Edwin and Luella Breitenfeldt. She grew up in rural Perham, MN, and attended Perham High School.

On May 6, 1961, Judy married Jerry Quittschreiber in Corliss Township, Perham, MN. They were married 54 years until his passing in 2014. Together they had two children. Throughout her working career, Judy worked for Farmers Insurance Company, State Farm Insurance Company, and then was in joint ownership of Auto Glass Installers. Judy retired in 1997.

Judy loved any type of crafting. She painted, sewed, ceramics, etched glass, and made beautiful cards. She was a talented gardener and had a yard and flowers that everyone enjoyed and would stop to see.

Judy struggled for many years with respiratory issues. She battled hard against COPD for the last year while living at Serenity Home. She was determined to spend as much time with her family and friends. She especially loved her visits from her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Judy is survived by her daughter, Jody (Jeff) Emmerich; her son, Jon (Lori) Quittschreiber; her six grandchildren, Tyler (Regina) Varriano, Joe Emmerich, Tory (Greg) Hebert, Tony (Kaitlin) Emmerich, Jenna Quittschreiber, and Jake Quittschreiber; her six 6 great-grandchildren, Mia, Jack, Mason, Dominic, Andy, Vinny, and the 7^th due in March; her brothers, Norman (Luella) Breitenfeldt, and Harold (Elaine) Breitenfeldt.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry; parents, Edwin and Luella; and brother, Arlin Breitenfeldt.

Visitation will be held Thursday, January 23, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., with prayer service at 6:30 p.m., in Dilworth Lutheran Church, Dilworth, MN.

Funeral will be Friday, January 24, at 10:00 a.m., in Dilworth Lutheran Church, Dilworth, MN.

Interment will be at St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery – Evergreen, Frazee, MN.
