Judy Irene Hausmann, 74, of Moorhead, MN, passed away December 25, 2021 at Sanford Health Medical Center in Fargo.
Judy was born September 14, 1947, in Wheaton, MN, to Olaf and Irene (Pearson) Johnson. The family lived for a short time in Minneapolis, MN but later moved to South Dakota where Judy attended elementary school in a one-room schoolhouse. She graduated as salutatorian of the Class of 1965 in Wheaton, MN and went on to obtain a degree in mathematics from Moorhead State University in 1969. Judy was a member of Alpha Phi sorority at MSU and developed close, life-long relationships with her sorority sisters.
On August 31, 1968, Judy married Lee Hausmann. They had two daughters, Ginger and Darcy, and made their home in Moorhead. Judy was a valued and respected employee of Corwin Automotive Group for nearly 40 years.
In her spare time, Judy enjoyed traveling the world and taking occasional visits to the casino. She cherished the time spent with friends playing cards, meeting for breakfast, shopping and enjoying monthly dinners at the Winery in Buffalo, ND. She looked forward to attending all the sporting events and concerts for her beloved grandsons. Judy loved her family deeply; they were her entire world.
She is survived by her daughters, Ginger (Mark) Hendrickson and Darcy (Ryan) Jackson, of Moorhead; grandsons, Matthew and Jacob Hendrickson, of Moorhead, Noah (Jayda) Hendrickson, of Missoula, MT and Gabriel and Griffin Jackson, of Moorhead; brother, Mark Johnson, of Fargo; niece and nephews, Holly (Paul) Carpenter, of Virginia, Jason (Jessica) Johnson, of Virginia and Alec (Kait) Johnson, of Fargo, and close friend and traveling companion of 22 years, Wade Homan, of Fargo.
Visitation will be Thursday, January 6, 2022, from 5-6:30 P.M. with a prayer service starting at 6:30 P.M., at The Lutheran Church of Christ the King in Moorhead. Visitation will continue from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M., followed by the memorial service at 11:00 A.M., on Friday, January 7, 2022, at the church.
