Judy L. Anderson

Judy L. Anderson, 74, Christine, ND, passed away Saturday, July 22, 2017, at Bethany Retirement Living, Fargo, ND.

Judy LaVonne Anderson was born in Adrian, MN, December 4, 1942, to Jake and Renzie Tuin Miller. She grew up and attended school in Slayton, MN.

On October 18, 1958, Judy married Ronald Anderson in Slayton and they raised four children. In 1972, they moved to Christine, ND. Judy enjoyed sewing and spending time in the garden, but had a true passion for reading. She also enjoyed traveling with Ron, who worked as a trucker. Parkinson’s disease forced Ron to retire and Judy took over as his caregiver until his passing.

Judy is survived by daughter, LaVonne Craig Granholt, Christine, ND; son, James Teri Anderson, Denison, IA; daughters, Sheila Scott Halverson, Lake Park, MN, and Sarah Travis Hopkins, Breckenridge, MN; brother, George Joyce Miller; fourteen grandchildren, Josh Suzie Granholt, Matthew Jill Granholt, Nellie Leif Olson, Jake Anderson, Claire Anderson, Hannah Laney, Carson Amy Laney, Kayla Halverson, Jenna Halverson, Andrew Halverson, Jarred Boumont, Kellsie Boumont, Jeremyn Hopkins, Dawson Pedersen; 8 great-grandchildren, Brandon Halverson, Aidden Laney, Colton Olsgaard, Ava Bernstein, Shelby Granholt, Evan Granholt, Emily Granholt and Jens Granholt.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at 11:00 AM with a visitation starting at 10:00 AM at Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead, MN.
Interment will be in Christine, ND.
