Judy L. Gregerson

Judy Opatril Gregerson, a long-time resident of the Fargo-Moorhead area, passed away Tuesday the 12th of July, 2016 at ManorCare Health Services.

Born in 1941 in Skree Township, Minn., Judy raised her family outside of Moorhead. An avid gardener, Judy made sure her family was fed organics before it became popular. She had a successful career, including Edling Electric and owner of the Red Dot Uniform Shoppe. Always full of surprises, Judy also published “true” crime stories under a pen name.

Judy loved the Lord Jesus above all else. She found her husband, her partner and friend Keith Gregerson 59 years ago and committed her life to him. Judy enjoyed and dearly loved her family with all their unique personalities, and felt that love in return. Her family enjoyed her laugh that could light up a room.

She is survived by her husband; her children Kevin Gregerson Michelle Lam, Brenda Ed Hague, Robert Kathy Gregerson, and Kathryn Heitmann Gavin Lewis; her grandchildren Alea Mar, Amanda Arquines, Deena Rojero, Geoffrey Nicholas, Zeena Palm, Barry Gregerson, Marley Palm, Jessica Heitmann and Elsie Lewis; several great grandchildren Matthew Mar, Arianna Rojero, Dante Rojero, Donovan Rojero and Avalon Helgeson; four brothers and five sister-in-laws, numerous nieces and nephews; and a multitude of cousins all of whom brought great joy to her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Rudy and Marie Opatril and her brother, Ronald Opatril.

Funeral services will be held at Beautiful Savior 2601 23rd Ave S., Fargo at 11 a.m. on July 22, 2016 with Pastors Dave Wagner and Chris Waldvogel presiding. A private family service will be held preceding the service at 10 a.m.
