June L. Barth, 84, of Hawley, Minnesota, died Friday, October 26, 2012 at Sunnyside Care Center, Lake Park, Minnesota.June Lorine Logan was born July 14, 1928 in Moorhead, Minnesota to John and Minnie Anderson Logan. She graduated from Moorhead High School in 1946 and earned her Telegram Operator Certificate from Western Union School in Fargo, ND. She returned to Moorhead and worked for Gambles. June married Darrel Barth on June 19, 1948 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Moorhead, MN. They moved to rural Hawley, MN in 1948, where they began farming. They owned and operated Hawley Farm Supply for fifteen years. They built their retirement home in 2002 at 1543 Sunset Boulevard in Hawley, MN.June was a wonderful person, with many dear friends. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, canning, crocheting afghans for her family, playing cards with Darrel and teaching her grandchildren new card games. June made sure her home was always ready for company with coffee and cookies readily available at all times. She was an active member of Hawley Lutheran Church since 1948.She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother, Joseph Logan.June is survived by her husband of 64 years, Darrel; her seven children, Lana Ardell Whaley of Hitterdal, MN, Linda Barth of Moorhead, MN, Gail Greg Utke of Brandon, SD, Terrie Newton of Los Lunas, NM, Jeff Carrie Barth of Glyndon, MN, Jennifer Phil Behrens of Moorhead, MN, and Jackie Dave Geske of Moorhead, MN; two sisters, Ethel Hoffman of Moorhead, MN, and Marlys Heng of Barnesville, MN; eighteen grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
