June Mardel Link

May 9, 1929 — August 19, 2018

On August 19, 2018, June M. Link was called to her heavenly home to be with her lord.  A funeral service for June will be held at Grace Lutheran Church at 1:00 in Connersville, Wisconsin.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.  Internment will be at Grace Lutheran Cemetery.

June was born May 9, 1929, in Woodville Wisconsin.  She grew up in rural Wisconsin with her parents Joseph and Mamie Jarchow.  She was baptized June 16, 1929 and later confirmed at Grace Lutheran church.  She graduated from New Richmond high school.  She married Kenneth Link on March 25, 1948 in New Richmond Wisconsin.  They lived in New Haven Township and in 1955 they and their family moved to Mounds View Minnesota.  June worked for Donnatelli’s Restaurant; Edgewood and Irondale schools, and for 18 years at Quality Park Envelopes from which she retired.  Ken and June then moved to country life again in Connersville Wisconsin.  They both loved to dance to that old time music.  She was very active in Grace Lutheran church cooking many meals for special events.  Camping, fishing and watching baseball and birds were some of her favorites.  Traveling was another favorite, she made many trips to California where she enjoyed the beaches and penguins, and even drove her camper all the way to Alaska!  She would offer to help people whenever there was a need.  She was a loving generous caring mother who loved to smile, laugh, and joke around.  An instant smile would appear on her face when she saw any of her grand and great- grand children. June will be greatly missed.

June leaves behind her children: Roger Link (Janice), Alice Huot, Larry Link (Sherri), Tom Link, Dawn Manthey (Raymond).  Sister in laws: Phyllis Kedrowski, Mary Lou Lockwood, Pauline Seeger, Paula Standaert. Verna McCuen(Ted), Shirley Jarchow.  She has 12 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.  June was preceded in death by her parents, husband Kenneth, son Richard, brother Bob and numerous brother and sister in laws.
