Karen E. Longtine

Karen E. Longtine, 67, of Moorhead, MN, passed away at home on Saturday, August 20, 2022. Karen was born September 29, 1954, in Detroit Lakes, MN, to Floyd and Darlene (Kohler) Longtine. She grew up and attended school in Lake Park, graduating in 1972. In 1973, Karen married Jon Hansen, they had three children. She later moved to Moorhead and continued her education at Moorhead Technical College. After graduating, she worked in Fargo/Moorhead until retiring in 2009. In her retirement, Karen loved being a stay-at-home grandma and spending time with her family. She will be dearly missed.

Karen is survived by her children Jon Hansen, Jennifer Hansen and Josh Hansen; grandchildren, Torie, Havyn and Ronald; siblings, Roxanne Larsen, Ricky Longtine, Cheryl Longtine; and many nieces and nephews, as well as honorary grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Linda Hansen; and brother-in-law, Alan Larsen.

A visitation will be Friday, August 26, from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., followed by the memorial service at 12:00 p.m. at The Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd in Moorhead.
