Karen E. Rogneby

Karen Estelle Rogneby, 74, of Moorhead, MN, passed peacefully at her home with her children by her side on July 5, 2015. Karen was preceded in death by her husband, Robert T. Rogneby, who passed away just weeks prior.

Karen was born on May 4, 1941 in Rugby, ND to parents Minnie and Oscar Smith. She was preceded in death by her brother, Craig Smith and survived by her sister, Pamela Marquardt. Karen married Robert Rogneby in Minot, ND in 1984 and they lived happily in Moorhead for 30 years. She enjoyed reading, gardening, baking, shopping, and giving. Karen and Bob were a true love story. They were a selfless loving couple who cared deeply for others. Karen made this world a better place and will be greatly missed.

Karen is survived by her children from a previous marriage to Donald Keeney: Richard Keeney Maria and Patricia Wilson Michael whom she loved deeply. Karen lost her youngest son, Daniel-James as an infant. She was a loving and caring grandmother to 10 grandchildren: Daniel, Lily, Annie, Autumn, Jared, Levi, Micah, Riley, Sarah and Spencer, and 3 great grandchildren: Isabelle, Wylie Jo, and Lucky.

Memorial donations may be given to Roger Maris Cancer Center or Hospice of the Red River Valley.

A graveside service will be held Friday, July 10, at 1:00 p.m., at Riverside Cemetery, Moorhead, MN.
