Karen Rae Schock

Karen Rae (Lewis) Schock, 75, of Dilworth, MN, passed away on Wednesday, January 24, 2018, surrounded by her loving husband and family at Sanford Hospital, in Fargo, ND. Karen was born on November 18, 1942, to Richard and Doris (Rae) Lewis in Fargo, ND.

Karen grew up in Dilworth, MN and graduated from Dilworth High School. She was united in marriage to Leonard Schock on October 15, 1961 in Tuttle, ND. Leonard and Karen resided in Dilworth for most of their lives. Karen ran her own home daycare, “Karen’s Daycare”, and provided wonderful, loving care to many local children for well over 25 years.

Karen was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was well loved by all and she will be truly missed.

Karen is survived by her husband, Leonard; children, Patty (Gary) Harmon, Gerald Schock, and Dee (Rich) Vos; grandchildren, Scott, Tony (Ariana), and Justin Harmon, Kyle Schock, and Jordan Vos; sisters, Joyce Sundahl and Carol Lewis; and many other loving relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Doris; brother, Richard Lewis Jr.; sister, Geraldine “Geri” Bartness.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, January 29, 2018 at Dilworth Lutheran Church, Dilworth, MN, at 1:00 PM with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place following the services in Dilworth at Riverside Cemetery, Moorhead, MN.
