Kathy M. Koenig

Kathlyn “Kathy” Gould Koenig, 66, of Moorhead, MN, passed away peacefully in the care of dear friends on Sunday, November 13, 2016. Kathy was born May 2, 1950, to Thomas and Donna Fuller Gould in Minneapolis, MN. Her family moved to Moorhead in 1961, where she grew up and attended school. Over the years, Kathy worked for the Department of Transportation as a Commercial Vehicle Inspector, and was proud to be one of the first woman truck drivers. She had a strong will and took pride in what she did. She also had a love for animals, especially her schnauzers. In recent years, Kathy spent much of her time with the Social Connection Community, and employed those at Churches United who were in need of making money. She will be dearly missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, John and Jay Gould.

Kathy is survived by her siblings, Tom Kathy Gould of Moorhead, Jan John Hagerman of Minnetonka, MN, sister-in-law, Diana of Moorhead; 5 nieces and nephews; 5 great-nieces and nephews; and many dear friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Humane Society of Fargo.

A gathering of friends for all who would like to join in the memory of Kathy will be on Monday, November 21, 2016, from 2 – 3 p.m. with a memorial service at 3 p.m., in Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead, MN.
