Keith Somerville

Keith Elliot Somerville, 83, of Detroit Lakes, MN, passed away July 26, 2024, at his home.

Keith was born March 20, 1941, in Brainerd, MN, to Harold and Norva (Knutson) Somerville. He grew up and graduated from high school in Brainerd and then enlisted in the National Guard. Keith worked at Brainerd Paper Mill for some time, and in 1969 opened his first business, Keith’s Cycles Incorporated, in Moorhead, MN. He was also the owner/operator of a trucking company for 10 years. In 1983 Keith opened his used car business, Keith Somerville Sales, in Lake Park, MN. He sold used cars until he reluctantly retired in 2018. 

In his spare time, Keith enjoyed ice fishing and deer hunting.

Keith is survived by his sons, Jeffrey Somerville, of Lake Park, MN and Brian Somerville, of Hawley, MN; grandchildren, Laicy Somerville, Molley Somerville, Aubrey Somerville and Brendan Hendricks; great-grandchildren, Xander, Bellamy and Saylor, and his life partner, Jean Taylor.
