Keith W. Vojta Sr.

Keith Wayne Vojta, Sr., age 78, of Frazee, MN, formerly of Selby, SD, passed away peacefully after complications from Parkinson’s and dementia on May 19, 2018 at Frazee Care Center of Frazee.

Keith was born on June 21, 1939 in Mobridge, SD to George and Evelyn (Fransler) Vojta.  He grew up and attended school in Selby, SD and graduated in 1957.

He was united in marriage to Ruth Jones on September 15, 1967. They lived on the family farm in rural Selby until June 1992.  During this time, they had two children.  In June, 1992 they moved to Mobridge.  In August, 2015 they moved to Moorhead, MN.

Keith worked on the family farm until moving to Mobridge.  While in Mobridge he worked at Larry Jensen Motors until he retired.  Keith had a love and passion for farming and tending to his flock of sheep.  He was also very active in the South Dakota Wheat Growers Association and his church.

Keith is survived by his daughter, Marie (Mike) Wollschlager, grandchildren, Hunter and Faith of Moorhead, MN; his son, Keith Jr. (Stephanie) Vojta, grandchildren September and Tayden of Lead, SD.  He is also survived by a niece, Monique Loseke and nephew, Efrem Vojta.

Keith was preceded in death by his wife, his parents and his brother Lawrence “Duff” Vojta.

Keith’s children are thankful for the incredible, compassionate care he received at Ecumen Evergreens of Moorhead and Frazee Care Center of Frazee.

A private family service was held.
