Kenneth A. ’Kenny’ Yeager

Kenneth A. "Kenny" Yeager, 58, Borup, MN, died on May 12, 2006, in Bridges Medical Center, Ada, MN. Kenneth was born on March 2, 1948, in Moorhead, MN, to Elton R. and Lucille Smith Yeager. He attended school in Felton, MN and graduated in 1966. He was active in high school sports, FFA and other school related activities. He married Doris Matson of Ulen, MN, in May of 1968. They had one son Kelly. Later, he married Joan Schmidt of Grand Rapids, MN and they had one son, Jay Yeager.He is survived by his two sons, Kelly Thompson, Wheatland, ND, and Jay Yeager, Denver, CO; one sister, Doris Jerry Kurpius, Hoyt Lakes, MN; three brothers, Earl, Felton, MN, Keith Connie Yeager, Coos Bay, OR, Irvin Diane Yeager, Coos Bay, OR, and many nieces and nephews. Ken loved sports activities of all kinds, working crossword puzzles and other game challenges. He worked for American Crystal Sugar during the fall harvest and was a farm hand for Murphy Farms for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Gene and LeRoy and one sister, Maxine Rafteseth.
