Kenneth D. Kuehl

Kenneth “Ken” D. Kuehl, 82, of Felton, MN, passed away on Wednesday, January 11, 2023, in his home.

Kenneth Duane Kuehl was born on April 29, 1940, to Clifford and Isabella (Mikkelson) Kuehl in Glyndon, MN. He grew up in Glyndon, MN, and graduated from Glyndon High School.

On November 28, 1964, he was united in marriage to Carolyn Diane Ness. Together they raised their family and farmed for many years. After selling the farm land, Ken started working as a Crop Adjuster and continued to live on the farm. He had just retired at the end of 2022.

He was a member of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Felton and served on many church and elevator boards. He also served in the North Dakota Air National Guard.

Ken enjoyed traveling in his motor home to the lakes and Arizona for the winter. He took pride in his farm and liked to have everything looking nice, with a mowed yard, and flowers all around.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Carolyn; children Lori (Jeff) Genz, and Troy (Kristen) Kuehl; grandchildren, Austin and Ryan Genz, and Sydney, Sophia, and Jared Kuehl; brother, David (Linda) Kuehl; sisters, Lois (Harlan) Balken, Margaret Jalbert, Phyllis (Eldon) Sorum, Sandra (Butch) Anton, and Nancy (Craig) Boldt; brother-in-law, Ron Hartel; sister-in-law, Jeanne Kuehl; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Gerald, and Jim; sister, Marilyn Hartel; brother-in-law, Lynn Jalbert; sisters-in-law, Bev Kuehl and Carol Kuehl; and nephews, Michael Hartel, Kurt Sorem, Matthew Kuehl and Jeremy Kuehl.

A memorial service with Livestream will be held Friday, January 20, 2023, at 11:00 AM with a visitation one hour before the service at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, Felton, MN.

Burial will be in Felton Cemetery in the spring.
