Kenneth “Stubs” Flieth

Kenneth “Stubs” Flieth Jr., age 64, of Moorhead, MN passed away on Tuesday, April 28, 2020 at Sanford Medical Center, Fargo.

Kenneth Allen Flieth Jr. was born on September 7, 1955 to Kenneth Sr. and Delores (Wagner) Flieth in Omaha, NE. Stubs’s father was in the military and their family moved often while he was growing up. In the early 1960’s, Stubs and his family settled in Fargo where he attended Fargo North High School before entering the Job Corps for three years. Stubs married Carol Anderson and together they had a son, Kenneth Flieth III. He raised Kenneth on his own for a few years. In his older years, Stubs found his passion and talent in leather craftwork and hand tooling. He made many wallets, purses, dream catchers, and many other crafts all tediously by hand. Stubs also enjoyed time spend outside, especially weekends at the Lake of the Woods with his brother.

Stubs is survived by his son, Kenneth Flieth III; brother, Timothy (Lynnette) Flieth of Moorhead; sisters, Evelyn Boddeker of Hillsboro, ND, and Linda Flieth of Barnesville, MN; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceeded in death by his parents; brother, Theo Flieth; and brother-in-law, Roger Boddeker.

A private family service will be held.
